Why we are ready for preschool (as parents in general that is!)
At this exact moment the answer is, "YES!!!!". My "baby" is quickly approaching the big 3 and he is acting very much the part. The reason I just had to blog right now is because he is making me nuts! How can someone so little, funny and cute make me feel so crazy? Well let me tell you! He just stripped off his diaper for the 5th time in 3 hours, ran around naked and then proceeded to sit on the couch and watch himself pee! On my couch fully aware of what he was doing. Ugh! Trust me, I am very done with the whole diaper thing. I could really spend that money on some cute shoes or something else more "fun". Anyway, after the pee pee incident he walked back to the dinner table (aside from strapping him to his chair, he will not stay seated at the kitchen table), anyway he proceeded to sit there and crumble his sweet potato chips in his hair! I mean who does these things? Oh yes - toddlers!! So I love him to pieces and it will be a very bittersweet time to watch him start preschool but I think they start at a perfect age. The age where they just start making their parents a little crazy! So there is my blog - hope you enjoyed what you read. Maybe it gave you a giggle or two? If you are a parent then you know what I am talking about. Have a good day! Wish me luck on my little journey with my silly and wonderful 3 year old "baby" boy!! Ha ha

Pink Guitar
The ant
Yesterday while at a play date at the park, Mason eagerly ran up to me with something pinched in-between his chubby little fingers. I put my hand out not sure what to expect and he dropped a little black ant in my hand. It was so cute because he was copying Ben's constant "bug hunting" and wanted to show off his discovery. Another mom was there to witness the cuteness of Mason and his little ant (that he squished in the process but I didn't tell him - he was so proud, why burst his bubble?)

Daddy & Mason - Dillons Beach 2.08
Happy New Year from Ben & Mason. Mason thought the snow was cold, Ben thought it was fabulous - until his gloves got wet and then that was the end of it for him! We made the crazy journey to find snow on New Years Day with our wonderful neighbors - Lisa, Ryan and Aidan and half of the world it seemed by the traffic we encountered along the way. We spent more time in the car then we did in the snow. The kids melted down quickly and we vowed never to do this again with the kids. Ha ha!! It was memorable for sure.
Where does the time go?
I had better intentions of keeping up on this blog but here we are in April - mid April mind you and I am barely making a second entry. So what has happened this year? Ben turned 5 - I am still in shock that he is already 5 and starting Kindergarten in the Fall. WOW! He is a very special kid. A great heart, a love, very friendly and social, rarely in a bad mood, super active and eager to learn. He is easy to please and he really treats everything as a treasure. I love this about him. And then there is Mason. Mason will be 3 in just a few months. My baby is almost 3! WOW again. Time does fly and I think you realize it the most once you have children. Mason is a beautiful little guy. Very different then his brother. He is not as social although he has come out of his shell. He is more moody but also a love bug. He still likes being rocked at night. He is going through this phase where he wants to change his clothes every hour. Usually this involves his brothers underwear, pj's or sweatpants. Oh yeah, and any Disney Car's clothes he might have available. He is a huge fan of Crocs and has started his own trend of wearing mismatched shoes (i.e. one red, one orange). He is a very picky eater although he will happily eat nuggets, pizza and anything chocolate. He's a funny and wonderful little man. Steve is well. He is about to take the Captain's test at work. I am sure he will do well. He has put in a lot of time studying and well, he is just naturally smart. Ha ha. But really, he is. Me? I am finally going back to the gym which is fun. I have taken some Yoga and Pilates classes. I prefer Pilates. Just working out makes me feel so much better all around. Otherwise chasing two little boys and keeping the household alive and running fills my days. I am usually running until the kids are in bed. We have some trips planned in the year to come. Hopefully Steve and I will get to take a little trip away. I had my heart set on Hawaii but with the airfare prices as well as the many airline issues, I think we may postpone till next year. I am leaning towards a closer get away to Santa Barbara. We also want to make a trip to Southern California. Maybe Legoland. Of course we will visit my sister, brother and sister in law who all live between LA and Long Beach. Then of course we hope to do Disneyland at Christmastime this year. There are also various camping trips, birthdays, etc. The calendar continues to be full which just shows us how very blessed we are to have so many wonderful people to spend our time with. So to all of you who fill our days, thank you!!
